Teeth whitening is not typically directly the cause of headaches. If you swallow some of the chemicals, this can cause nausea and headaches. Headaches may also come as a result of the sensitive teeth, which can be caused by teeth whitening products. If this happens, you should consult with a dentist, who may recommend that you either take a break from whitening or avoid it all together. However, generally speaking, teeth whitening itself does not actually cause headaches. You should consider any other potential reasons as to why you may have a headache before immediately blaming the teeth whitening product.
